Field Study #6

Date - November 24, 2024

Time - 12:50 pm - 1:00 pm

Climate Conditions - The weather conditions were cool, a little breezy, cloudy, and the ground was a bit wet.

Temperature - 45°

Length of Day - 9 hours 26 minutes

Organisms Noticed - Today I noticed very few animals, as the weather gets colder. I heard very few birds in the trees around me, and I saw one squirrel climbing up a tree. In regards to plant life I am also noticing less of it. There are still lots of leaves on the ground, but there is way less plant life in the trees, and less plants on the ground, like flowers, and other things. Also, I have noticed that there is hardly any algae left in the pond.

Changes Noticed Since Last Visit - I continue noticing less and less organisms - animals and plant life. There were less birds, bugs, and animals walking around like squirrels and such. Also, less plant life in the trees, plants on the ground, and algae in the pond. It was also much colder outside, and the ground was pretty wet from the snow/rain in the past few days. Lastly, I have notices that more branches and such have fallen down.

  Date - October 13, 2024 Time - 5:15 pm - 5:35 pm Climate Conditions - The weather conditions were pretty cool, windy, rainy, cloudy, and wet. Temperature - 56 ° Length of Day - 11 hours 8 minutes Organisms Noticed - Today I didn't notice a ton of animals. I did notice a squirrel walking through the woods near the pond, and heard two different birds in some trees behind me, and some tree frogs also in the trees behind me. I also kept noticing lots of plant life, between the trees, brush, and the pond! Changes Noticed Since Last Visit - Today I really started to notice the trees changing color and lots of leaves on the ground. I also noticed that the water levels seemed to be higher today, but that was probably because I went out right after it was pouring rain. (I was interested in going out during the rain to see the differences that the rain made) - I did seem to notice that less animals were out, if this was due to the rain or because of the cold.
